QTS picked up its third case of Covid 19 today. This case was directly tied to Case #2.
We continue to urge students, parents and staff who are unvaccinated to call Tribal Health and book an appointment for a vaccination. It is very evident that the we can beat Covid if we vaccinate and wear masks. Note by clicking on the READ MORE below the parent and student letter that went home to all parents this morning will be visible. If you did not receive this email, then please call Stephanie Doebbler at the school and update your email list. Thank you Superintendent Mark J. Decker

Dear QTS Parents and Students;
QTS picked up a second case of Covid among our student population this week. The case came from outside the school and the student was on school grounds for two days during the infection period without knowledge of having Covid 19. This time the case was at the upper end of the grade level spectrum and staff impacted have been notified. QTS reports Covid information on its web page https://quileutetribalschool.org/
Parents please encourage your students to wear masks correctly, watch for symptoms and continue to educate yourself about the safety around Covid. Since May 25, 2021 we have been encouraging students 12 years and older to vaccinate. The Pfizer vaccination has now been approved by the FDA and Moderna is not far behind in being FDA approved. Tribal Health is offering another vaccination clinic on Friday, September 17th, please call Tribal Health for an appointment. Tribal and nontribal are all welcome to the clinic.
A Covid 19 Return to School Flow Chart is attached below and continues to be posted on our school web page. Please note the Blue Box in the lower left corner of the document.
A similar letter to this went to QTS Staff, School Board Members and the Quileute Nation Chief of Police/Incident Commander.
